Travel in the Netherlands

Travel by train

To travel within the Netherlands we advise you to make use of public transportation. Using public transportation is generally the fastest and cheapest way to travel within the Netherlands. For check-in you can just use your debit- or credit card (Maestro, V PAY, Mastercard, and Visa). If you have another type of card, we advise you to buy a single ticket at one of these machines. Prices vary depending on the type of public transport you use, but generally, a single train ticket from Schiphol Airport to Tilburg Central Station costs around €20,-. For additional information regarding public transportation, like departure times and online ticket sale, you can take a look at the NS website or download the ‘NS-app’.

Travel by car

Taxis and rideshares are available throughout the Netherlands, but tend to be very expensive relative to other modes of transport (and less environmentally friendly!).

However, if you plan to combine your conference attendance with a vacation, car rentals are available in most cities. Prices might vary due to availability.
